Socks and Scarves sort out the winter cold for Nemo staff

Keeping staff warm this Christmas, Nemo Personal Finance has linked with fellow Welsh business, Corgi, to supply seasonal gifts for its valued employees. Maintaining their brand value of ‘why complicate things?’ Nemo wanted something a little different for their first Christmas as a company and so staff will wrap up warm in their Nemo socks and scarves this Christmas.

Nemo, a secured loans company based in Cardiff, launched for business in February 2005, now employs over 100 staff and has a company ethos of having sorters rather than employees. Keen to work with other local businesses to contribute to the developing sustainable economy in Wales, Nemo selected Corgi to produce Christmas gifts for employees.

Corgi, a small family run clothing firm based in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, was originally founded in 1895 and produced hosiery for the coal industry. In recent years the firm has grown and has more than doubled export sales. With Corgi clients including leading fashion houses Hermes, Balenciaga, Ralph Lauren and Paul Smith, Nemo employees will be luxuriously warm this winter.

Phil Jones, Joint Managing Director of Nemo, said: “We are very proud of Nemo’s location in the heart of the capital and were keen to contribute to developing a sustainable economy in Wales, and so approached Corgi to source Christmas gifts for our staff as they have a reputation that is second to none for quality knitwear.”

Corgi’s Managing Director Huw Jones, said: “We are delighted that another Welsh business is rewarding employees with our products this Christmas. Like Nemo, we are a growing company and are set to expand further in 2006.”
