Help With Repayments

We understand that circumstances can change, and this can sometimes make it difficult to cope financially. It is far better to take action than ignore the situation and hope that it will go away. Our team has lots of experience in assisting our customers who are in financial difficulty and if you are struggling, or think you might fall behind on your payments, please call us on 0800 612 9982 and we can try and find a solution that works for you. The sooner you get in touch, the sooner we can help you.

When we talk to you, we will:

  • Be open and honest
  • Treat you as an individual, taking your circumstances into account
  • Tell you what you need to know, so you can make an informed decision
  • Let you know who else can help you
  • Give you reasonable time to pay back your debt
  • Only start legal proceedings if we are unable to solve the problem by working together with you

We've been able to help many of our customers through challenging times. So whether your financial difficulties are short term or long term, as a result of being off work sick, out of work, struggling through a relationship split, money mismanagement or any other reason that has left you feeling like you need more support with your financial commitments, please contact us as soon as possible.

Here are some of the ways we might be able to help you

  • Arrange a payment plan with you, which allows you to clear your arrears over an agreed period of time
  • Change the way you make your payments, or the date you make them
  • Agree to waive our right to charge interest/reduce the amount of interest charged on a temporary basis
  • Agree to accept interest only payments on a temporary basis
  • Temporarily extend the term of your second charge mortgage which can reduce your monthly payments
  • Agree not to proceed with legal action for a reasonable period whilst you attempt to sell your property
