According to Diamond, a quarter of women in the UK would like to arrive at their ‘dream wedding’ in a classic Rolls Royce.
This conclusion was reached following a survey in which over 1,500 women were questioned. It was also found that the second most desired form of transport is a traditional horse and carriage, followed by an Aston Martin in third place.
The women’s car insurance specialist, Diamond, also uncovered some unique wishes where wedding transport is concerned. For example, a fire engine, a New York yellow cab, the Back to the Future DeLorean, and a donkey and cart.
The colour of wedding vehicles was also investigated during the survey, with virtually half of women expressing that their preferred vehicle would be white. However, one in five revealed that they would prefer black. With regard to that dream chauffeur, Brad Pitt would appear to be the man for the job in first place. Second to Mr Pitt was said to be George Clooney, with Top Gear’s ‘The Stig’ coming in third position.
Sian Lewis, Diamond managing director, commented: "You want every part of your wedding day to be wonderful and of course you want to make a grand entrance. So it seems like a classic white Rolls Royce driven by Brad Pitt is the way to arrive in style." For almost three quarters of the women polled, their prospective partner would also be escorted to their wedding in their dream car, with Aston Martin and Ferrari ranking in the top two spots.
Sian Lewis concluded, "It's nice to see that, even though it's mainly about them, brides are thinking of their partners as well. However, it's really interesting to see that the credit crunch could be having an impact too, as one in ten women would consider using public transport to get to the church. Although probably not on time!"

Newly married homeowners who are looking to create their ideal property together could consider taking out a secured loan to fund the necessary work. One of many finance options available, a secured loan could facilitate a range of ventures, such as the extension of a house where extra living space is hankered after. Alternatively, this goal could be achieved by way of a conservatory or a loft conversion if preferred.
Secured loan borrowers may even find that on completion of projects for their own enjoyment, they could have also added value to their property.
